Root Canal Treatment

Sometimes a filling is not sufficient to save a tooth and a root canal treatment is required.

A root treatment is a painless procedure under local anaesthetic which involves removing the nerve of the tooth.

It is a very skilled procedure and is usually carried out over 2 appointments to ensure complete removal of the nerve and disinfection of the roots.

 At Mayz Dental Care, we have brand new, latest technology to ensure that it is performed to the highest standard.

You may need a root treatment if:

• Decay extends to the nerve

• Abscess (pain to bite, throbbing, swelling)

• Fractured/broken tooth involving the nerve.

• Prevent extractions

All procedures will be fully explained before, during and after the treatment.

Any costs will be given prior to any treatment commencing.
